We are proud to have been part of the launch of the Women in Extractive Industry, Trade and Value Addition Association of Zambia (WETVAAZ) on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Lusaka's Pamodzi Hotel. The event was honored by the presence of Vice President Mutale Nalumango.

Vice President Nalumango stated that the launch fulfills the government’s agenda to create more jobs through the mining value chain. She highlighted that the newly established women's association in the extractive industry will boost the country’s economic outlook, as small-scale mining is vital to Zambia’s employment creation strategy.

WETVAAZ Chairperson Pauline Mundia emphasized that the association will serve as a platform to promote value addition, not only for gemstones but also for the development of minerals across the country.

We were immensely honored to contribute to this event by creating a special Amethyst 'Eagle Cut' pendant, with significant input from Northern Technical College (NORTEC) and Kariba Minerals. This unique piece was presented to the Vice President during the event.
